The one-off Shelby GT500 Super Snake slithered across the auction block at Mecum’s Spring Classic in Indianapolis, where it made a record-breaking sale and headlines. Bugatti has been through much turmoil as of late–having the coveted title of ‘Fastest Production Car’ stripped away by Guinness World Records over a glitch in the rules. BMW Destroys Guinness World Drift Record!

BMW has stolen the Guinness World Drift Record with an unbelievable 51-mile drifting session at the BMW Performance Center near Greenville, South Carolina. Marussia F1 May Get Ferrari Engines for 2014

Marussia F1 is a Formula One racing team based in Banbury for the United Kingdom. The team is likely to get some shiny new Ferrari engines for the 2014 year as new regulations come into effect. Previous supplier Cosworth is pulling out of engines, saying that it cannot find any commercial justification for building an engine for the 2014 year. That leaves just 3 engine suppliers: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes-Benz. Police in New Delhi have arrested a man after a YouTube video went viral of his 9-year-old son driving a Ferrari F430. The proud mother filmed the boy driving with his 7-year-old sibling in the passenger seat, boasting that he had been driving since age 5. Ferrari to Halt Availability in Favor of Exclusivity

Ferrari SpA has announced plans to halt production volume in favor of maintaining brand exclusivity for future high-end supercars. Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo revealed the following to reporters at a recent strategy presentation at the company’s Maranello headquarters: “We made this decision because it is important also for the dealer cultures. Dealers must understand that quality is important, not just quantity.” Ferrari will reduce supercar sales to fewer than 7,000 units annually in order to maintain brand exclusivity The Prancing Horse will produce fewer than 7,000 units in the future, having sold 7,318 in 2012.
