Each Porsche Sold Nets Bigger Profit for VW than Lamborghini

For those curious about which brands reap the most profit for the enormous being that is VW Group, it is not Lamborghini or Bentley. For every Porsche exotic sports car sold, VW nets a killer $23k profit. Not too shabby, eh? The news was revealed via Volkswagen Group’s 2013 financial report, showing that Porsche is enjoying an operating margin of a fat 18 percent. Most Expensive Repair Estimate? Porsche Diesel Filled with Standard

When Liz Moulton loaned her Porsche Cayenne to friend Alan Thompson for the weekend, neither expected to make the news. In efforts to show his appreciation for the vehicle, 64-year-old Thompson returned the Porsche with a full tank of gas. The problem was that it was a diesel Porsche Cayenne and Thompson filled the tank with standard fuel. The clip above describes one account of the story. First 4-Cylinder Porsche Since 1995 Rolls Out

The 2015 Macan will be the first production 4-cylinder Porsche from the brand since 1995. The company has rolled out the next generation of the Macan somewhat quietly, perhaps because the 4-cylinder option may not be available in America. There will be a 4-cylinder variant of the Porsche Macan only available in Europe.
