Ettore Bugatti, an Italian man described as an eccentric genius, founded Bugatti high performance vehichles in 1906. The original company is legendary for some of the most exclusive and fastest cars in the world. The original Bugatti brand failed like many marques did at the beginning of World War 2, and the death of Ettore’s son, Jean, was also a contributing factor. The company struggled financially into the 1960s eventually being purchased for its airplane parts business. Today the name is owned by Volkswagen AG who revived the brand as a builder of very limited production sports cars.

Rembrandt Bugatti Sculptures Recaptured in Crystal by Lalique

The Bugatti family history is brimming with the creative gene. Founder Ettore Bugatti’s brother, fittingly named Rembrandt, was a renowned sculptor. Rembrandt Bugatti sculptures depicted the animals he admired. The artist was known as a bit of a recluse who preferred the company of animals to that of people. The Bugatti Chiron: Is This the Bugatti Veyron Replacement?

There is now a name to go along with all the rumors for the Bugatti Veyron replacement. Reports indicate that the next supercar from the brand could be the Bugatti Chiron and that she will be packing in the power department! It gets better Amid previous reports that the company will not increase the Bugatti Veyron’s 1,200 horses, the Chiron could house as many as 1,479.
