Ettore Bugatti, an Italian man described as an eccentric genius, founded Bugatti high performance vehichles in 1906. The original company is legendary for some of the most exclusive and fastest cars in the world. The original Bugatti brand failed like many marques did at the beginning of World War 2, and the death of Ettore’s son, Jean, was also a contributing factor. The company struggled financially into the 1960s eventually being purchased for its airplane parts business. Today the name is owned by Volkswagen AG who revived the brand as a builder of very limited production sports cars.

The Famous Bugatti From the Lake

There is a very special Bugatti located at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California. The 1925 Bugatti Type 22 Brescia draws in viewers thanks to her shocking condition and fascinating back story. The story of the Bugatti from the lake has been carefully pieced together and includes some irresistible bits. It seems that the special Bugatti logged approximately 75 years underwater because a lucky chap won her in a bet, but lacked the funds required to get the car over the Italian-Swiss border. Bugatti Veyron Successor To Clear 60 MPH In Under 2 Seconds

Following the lengthy farewell ceremonies for the Bugatti Veyron, attention has turned to the successor. Word is circulating that the new champion could destroy the 0-60 mile per hour sprint in less than 2 seconds. Will the Bugatti Veyron successor be faster than her siblings? Bugatti had stated previously that the successor would not be a speed demon, nor a threat to the original. It seems that the company may have changed their tune, and no one is likely to be upset about that. Perhaps when Hennessey swooped in with their Venom to steal the fastest production car title, it … Continue reading

Video Shows Potential Bugatti Veyron Successor– Looks No Different!

In the aftermath of the seemingly never-ending farewell to the record-breaking beast that is the Bugatti Veyron, new video footage shows the potential successor lapping the Nurburgring rather leisurely. The car in the video is being described as a Veyron test mule. The odd thing is that the machine looks just like any other member of the Veyron family, so let us hope it is not a successor. It could prove disappointing if the brand fails to make a move toward something different after making such a spectacle of the end of the production line. The clip above shows the … Continue reading
