BMW debuted their latest 7-Series luxury sedan at the 2008 British Motor Show. The 750Li model, now offered as an exotic luxury car rental by Imagine Lifestyles in Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, is powered by a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8, the same engine used in the new X6. The six-speed automatic transmission shifter has been moved from the steering column back to the center console. All-season run-flat 18-inch tires are standard and 19-inch wheels with performance-oriented rubber will be optional.
More aluminum has been used throughout the 750Li to shave off weight. To improve fuel consumption, BMW has added a flap in the grille to eliminate unneeded airflow and reduce drag. A new system which BMW calls IMS will give drivers the option of Comfort, Normal, Sport or Sport Plus settings. Which will change shock settings, steering effort, gear change speed and smoothness, and the sensitivity of the stability control system. A new night vision system promises to warn drivers if there is a pedestrian or object in the street. The new BMW system is so advanced, it will be able to read speed limit signs and warn drivers when they are driving too fast. Although, this feature will only be available in Europe at first. A lane departure warning system will alert drivers of cars in their blind spots through a vibrating steering wheel and a message on the dashboard-mounted screen, which is a bigger 10.2 inches from 8.8.
Besides new systems and more high tech gadgets, the BMW 750Li will be comfortable and spacious. The 2009 BMW 7-Series was available in European showrooms last November, with a base price around $80,000. The 2009 750Li launched at the Los Angeles International Autoshow in November and will arrive at US dealerships this coming spring.  If you are a BMW lover then get on a waiting list and be the first to drive the new 750 off the lot.
