Luxury Rental of the Week:  Range Rover Sport Supercharged

The Range Rover Sport Supercharged luxury rental car is the epitome of a luxury SUV.  However, it has something most luxury SUV’s don’t have: Raw speed.  It’s not just the drastic difference in horsepower; it’s the torque, and shift timing.  Land Rover has truly found the perfect combination of muscle and elegance with this vehicle.  The 4-wheel drive is sensitive and will easily handle Chicago weather when it gets ugly. 

The Range Rover Sport Supercharged is very similar in looks to the standard Range Rover; with a few little tweaks.  The front grill and side gills are chromed out and have a mesh netting underneath.  The exhaust is upgraded, there are larger 20’ sport wheels, and the small rear plate saying, “Supercharged” lets you know you are driving the premium version.  The Harmon/Kardon stereo system provides a rich and powerful sound experience, and the 3-D Satellite Navigation system, Sirius Satellite radio, Bluetooth compatibility, and dual climate control offer lavish conveniences.

We recently set out to determine what luxury cars Chicago residents are driving these days.  It is always helpful for us to observe what people are driving and what people think is the next great luxury car as we continue to grow our fleet.  There was no scientific formula used but I think most locals would agree that the following five cars are the most common in the city. 

1) Range Rover HSE
2) BMW 750
3) Mercedes S550
4) Audi A6
5) Porsche Cayenne

The 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque has emerged, and is a surprisingly diminutive version of its predecessors!  With Land Rover celebrating its 40th birthday this year, the 2010 Evoque is certainly taking the cake!

This Range Rover is the smallest and lightest version yet, which translates to improved fuel efficiency.  In fact, it boasts the best fuel economy of any Range Rover, now that is a serious bragging right in today’s green luxury car market.  With so many companies, including luxury carmakers, looking toward the future and developing more economically sound vehicles; the Evoque will surely be a marketable luxury SUV and ideal luxury SUV rental!

For our third acquisition within the first week of opening our Imagine Lifestyles Chicago branch, we knew we wanted to obtain one of the most luxurious yet rugged SUVs on the market.  I’ve been a Range Rover owner for years, however for our luxury rental car fleet, we needed the best and most exciting.  After a great deal of research, we found our exact match at Howard Orloff Jaguar and Land Rover in Chicago.

Yes, the best SUV just got a little better.   There are 6 cameras total, and the dashboard is one big LCD screen.  For all the “techies” out there, it is truly a geek’s dream come true.  And I say that with all due respect; as I myself am quite the tech geek…don’t judge me.  

This year, Land Rover brings more power, economy and style to the table with the introduction of the acclaimed new 2010 line-up at the Frankfort Motor Show.  The cherry on top seems to be the Range Rover Sport Autobiography limited edition, complete with a luxurious reclining rear seat package.  Men around the globe have just perked up a bit, and suddenly, letting the wife drive doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

At M&M Hunting Preserve and Sporting Clays, Land Rover Cherry Hill hosted its 3rd annual LRCH Sporting Clay Tournament on May 31st, 2009.  With approximately 70 contenders enjoying the sunny day filled with skeet shooting, authentic mouth-watering southern-style BBQ and the company of fellow Land Rover lovers, we at Imagine Lifestyles can’t wait to return next year!

M&M Hunting Preserve is a true “sportsman’s paradise”, with rolling emerald hills, woodlands and a friendly staff.  Did we mention that the staff are experts at instructing, entertaining, and rolling out a mouth-watering southern-BBQ spread of chicken, burgers, hotdogs and more?  Definitely a crowd-pleaser.  Blending the outdoors with luxury Land Rovers, shooting and BBQ is a win-win event that kept everyone entertained for the duration of the annual event.

There were beginners and seasoned contenders in attendance, thoroughly enjoying the fastest growing shotgun sport in America (and the food).  The skeet at M&M are cleverly designed to simulate as many hunting situations as possible, keeping guests on their toes and on their game!  There is the option of open field as well as wooded shooting.  Two very enthusiastic thumbs up to Land Rover Cherry Hill for a great day in the great outdoors!  Come to think of it, Land Rovers were made for the outdoors, no wonder the event went off without a hitch!  If you are want to climb behind the wheel of a Land Rover for a day, or even a week, Imagine Lifestyles is here to show you why we are so passionate about exotic car rentals.
